A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM YUBCORP COMMERCIAL SONGS DIVISION

Dear friends,
It is with greatest pleasure and sincerest regret that I make the following announcement and a long overdue correction.

It has come to our attention that a usurper most foul has been taking credit for MY songs in numerous corners of the world wide web and the accompanying world itself. I won't mention any names but I imagine you know EXACTLY who I am referring to.

However, before I digress into bitter recriminations....an explanatory note. As you all know I wear many hats and cloaks....I am an award winning DJ, vice commissar of the internationally famous Sustentacula project, and have received global accolades for my work leading the Cassette Innovations Unit of YubCorp. But did you know that I am also a bit of an amateur songwriter?

It is true. However, my bardic gifts are limited strictly to the composition thereof. I do not sing nor do I play an instrument. But in recent years the burgeoning weight of the gift has become unbearable. These gentle melodies must find their way into the larger reality of the human pageant.

In desperation I called my good friend Hank Porche. I had hardly began to speak when Hank made it clear with a few dusty notes and rappings upon his ancient piano forte that the problem had an easy solution!

Though no words were spoken his message was clear...why not have local hermit Ronnie of the Crags perform these tunes in my stead?
As everyone knows, Ronnie is mute by choice and solitary by nature. He communicates not except through song, which can be heard echoing in the canyons of the dark night. As if intuiting my dilemma, Ronnie himself appeared at YubCorp headquarters that very moment. As was customary he was shoeless, clothed in rags, and with guitar in hand.

Though his appearance shocked our receptionist and the groundskeepers, I quickly ran down from my tower office (where I go to think deeply in such times) and I assured them that Ronnie was indeed a friend and no one to be feared.

Ronnie avoids indoor spaces so we took up seated positions in the gazebo adjacent to the famous YubCorp rose garden. There we sat for a fortnight subsisting on nettle tea and one or two teaspoons of wild honey. I taught him a few pieces that I felt had the right character for this initial partnership, and as you can imagine he was a quick study.
Technicians from our audio labs captured the proceedings on magnetic tape and they are presented for you here today.

Once concluded, Ronnie hopped up spryly and bade me adieu with but a wink and a smile. In an instant he was gone, surely returning to his mountain haunts and the animals therein, of which he is a noble protector.

So without further preamble, we here at YubCorp proudly present Demo Sketchbook JAN23 for your enjoyment and consolation. May your soul be soothed by these modest tones.
